Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
WaveCellar Audio File Player (“the app”, “we”) is a single-file audio player for Google Drive: it plays one audio file at a time that you explicitly open with it or pick from your Drive. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why, and how it is handled.
Information we access
- Google account identity. When you sign in, Google shares your basic profile (such as your email address) with the app for the duration of your session. We do not store it.
-
Google Drive files you choose (per-file access). The app uses the
drive.filescope. It can only access the specific files you open with it (via Drive’s “Open with” menu) or select in the app’s file picker. It has no access to any other files in your Drive, and it never modifies, deletes, uploads, or shares files.
How we use it
- To stream the audio file you selected to your browser for playback.
- To show the file’s name and format in the player.
What we store
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no database, and no server-side storage. Your Google access token is held only in your browser’s memory for the current session and is discarded when you close the tab or sign out. Audio is streamed on demand and is not copied, cached long-term, or redistributed by us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We do not use your Drive data for advertising or profiling.
- We do not use your data to train, or transfer it to others to train, generalized AI/ML models.
- We never display ads.
Google API Services Limited Use disclosure
WaveCellar Audio File Player’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data retention and deletion
Because the app stores nothing, there is no server-side data to delete. Signing out revokes the app’s access token. You can also revoke the app’s access at any time from your Google account permissions.
